July - Aug 2025
FORCEMAIN

Pipe work will continue on State Line Rd. near 89th St. and at 97th St. to 100th Terr. working towards the south.

Stream crossing restoration at Indian Creek near 104th St.

Force main pipe work will continue near 104th St. and tie into pipe previously laid under Indian Creek.

After the gas line modifications are completed by Kansas Gas near 9000 State Line Rd. pavement restoration will begin.

Gravity pipe and force main pipe installation will continue near 104th St, and north to 103rd St.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts:
-
Lane closures of the two southbound lanes of State Line Rd will continue throughout August. The lane closures in August will continue to extend from approximately 89th St to the entrance of Rockhurst High School, and from approximately W 97th St to W 100th Terr.

Traffic in State Line Rd will continue to be limited to one northbound lane and one southbound lane for the length and duration of the traffic control setup. Only occasional traffic flagging is anticipated for deliveries of materials at the 8950 State Line Rd pump station site.

Intermittent lane closures of State Line Way, near 104th St, will continue to occur throughout August.

PUMP STATIONS

Concrete work (rebar, form work, etc.) will continue for the subgrade walls of the poured-in-place concrete wet well for the pump station at the 8950 State Line Rd.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts: None anticipated for July/August.
June - July 2025
FORCEMAIN

Work will continue north of I-435 for the bored segment under the west bound ramp onto I-435.

Force main pipe installation work continues in State Line Rd. near 89th St, working towards the south. Once force main pipe and pavement work are complete in this traffic control area, installation work will start on force main to the south of the current traffic control.

Force main pipe installation work will begin in State Line Rd from approximately W 97th St and towards the south to W 100th Terr.

Gravity pipe and force main pipe installation continues near 104th St, and north to 103rd St.

Compete the pigging station near 104th St.

Begin work on a bored segment under 103rd St, west of State Line Rd.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts:

Lane closures of the two southbound lanes of State Line Rd will continue throughout July. The lane closures in July will continue to extend from approximately 89th St to the entrance of Rockhurst High School, then later from approximately the entrance of Rockhurst High School to 95th St. A second construction crew will begin work simultaneously, with lane closures extending from approximately W 97th St to W 100th Terr.

Traffic in State Line Rd will continue to be limited to one northbound lane and one southbound lane for the length and duration of the traffic control setup. Only occasional traffic flagging is anticipated for deliveries of materials at the 8950 State Line Rd pump station site.

Also, intermittent lane closures of State Line Way, near 104th St, will continue to occur throughout July.

Continue excavation work at the pump station at 8900 State Line.

Begin form work and rebar work for the poured-in-place concrete wet well and other subgrade structures for the pump station.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts: None anticipated for June/July.
May 2025
FORCEMAIN

Pipe installation from Indian Creek will continue, near 104th St, toward 103rd St to the north.

Installation of gravity sewer mains and manholes in the vicinity of State Line Way and 104th St.

There will be construction equipment near I-435 and State Line Road throughout May.

Temporary Trail Closure:
-
A new sewer force main pipe is being installed across/under Indian Creek (near the Indian Creek Trail south of Indian Creek, at State Line Rd and I-435) and will continue for approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
-
Due to the difficulty in trying to maintain safe trails across an active construction site, the trail will not be reopened on nights and weekends. Weather permitting, the trail is scheduled to reopen by June 13.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We are fully aware that the trail does not have a good alternative safe route for detouring and will make every effort to move as quickly as possible to get the construction work done safely and the trail restored.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts: Intermittent lane closures in State Line Way, near 104th Street are expected throughout May.

PUMP STATIONS

Site piping and temporary bypass piping work will continue.

Starting early May, the pump at 8950 State Line Rd will be bypassed in order to install temporary bypass manholes. Bypass pumping is anticipated to occur for a maximum of 2 weeks.

In mid-May, re-digging the wetwell will begin and installing excavation shoring. Wetwell forming and concrete construction will begin at the end of May..

Upcoming Traffic Impacts: None anticipated for May.
April 2025
FORCEMAIN
Mobilization beginning under I-435

The contractor working on the Forcemain portion of this project will begin mobilizing on April 2. Work will start under I-435.

Some impacts to traffic flow is expected. Please follow all signage and safety guidelines.

There will be construction equipment near I-435 throughout April.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts: Southbound lane closures in State Line Rd, under the I-435 bridge, are anticipated to take place over a weekend in late April.
PUMP STATIONS
-
After getting an approved shoring and bypass plan, BRB will continue to excavate for the pump station structures at the Dykes Branch East Pump Station site. BRB will install temporary sewer around their shoring location, prior to installing the shoring.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts: None anticipated for April.
March 2025
PUMP STATIONS
-
BRB Contractors and their subcontractors will be on site the week of March 3, 2025, to remove the three (3) sizable trees and small brush near the proposed Dykes Branch East Pump Station location.
-
BRB will also have equipment on site to begin constructing the chain link security fence around the construction site.
OUTREACH
Pump Station Project Kick-Off Open House Held - March 22, 2025
State Line Forcemain: A public notification postcard was sent to properties along Stateline about the start of the project.
